Broken Planet foundation

In 2021, we started the broken planet foundation with the idea of having control and transparency of how the money we raise for various causes, is used. For this reason, instead of donating money to other charitable organisations, we decided to create our own.

This ensured that the money and resources could be easily monitored and were going straight to the source of the problem.

The process of establishing a foundation is extremely challenging as the standards are extremely high with most of the applications being rejected. This was no different for us as our application was rejected 4 times before we got approved. This alone took 1.5 years to get done.

In July of 2023, we were finally admitted onto the directory of charities in the uk and were given the charity number: 1203851. This felt like an achievement on its own and enabled us to conduct our first mission in April 2024.

At the time of our approval, we had raised over £250,000 through our friends and family raffles. in the period of 2022-2023, over 83,000 people of our community entered a raffle on our website, with each ticket costing £3 with the chance to win 1 of 15 extremely limited friends and family hoodies.

Our goal is to undergo 1 or 2 missions a year to help vulnerable communities around the world. To achieve this, we have built a team of volunteers that provide amazing research and work to plan these missions effectively. for transparency, we will physically go and document each mission to be published with as much information as possible.
